Our stay at The Edgewater was truly a remarkable experience. We were impressed by the stunning lake views from our room and the attentive service provided by the staff. The spa facilities were a fantastic way to unwind, and we enjoyed our meals at the Statehouse. However, we were a bit let down by the room layout; it was somewhat confusing to navigate. Overall, it was a lovely getaway, but the unusual floor design took a bit of getting used to.

The Edgewater is a stunning place right on the shore of Lake Mendota, offering incredible views and a perfect setting for special occasions. My experience in the lakeside room for our anniversary was delightful, with a beautiful bathroom and lovely decor. However, the service fell short when we couldn't park in the garage due to our tall SUV, although they did find a safe spot for us. While the hotel had many positives, the overall experience was slightly marred by a few service issues, particularly regarding the attention to detail in our special requests.
